The Answer
Page count and how far the design goes. Essentials covers up to five pages with one round of revisions, built on Squarespace's native tools. Premium adds three more pages, custom CSS for styling that isn't possible out of the box, booking integration, and a second round of revisions. If you're a newer business that mainly needs to look credible and get found, Essentials is usually enough. If you're taking bookings or need the site to do more than describe what you do, Premium is the better fit.

Additional pages are $450 each, quoted in your proposal so there's no surprise later. Past two or three extra pages, moving up a tier is usually the better value.You get the additional design work and revision round along with the page count, not just more pages. I'll tell you which way makes more sense on the call.

50% upfront to reserve your start date, and the remaining 50% when you've signed off on everything, before the site goes live. Larger projects can be split into three payments instead. I accept check, Zelle, or Venmo. The number in your proposal is the number on your invoice.

Most delays come from waiting on copy and photos, so I'll tell you exactly what I need and when I need it before we start. If content runs late, the timeline shifts by roughly the same amount, and I'll give you a new date in writing. The price doesn't change. If the delay is on my end, same thing: you'll hear it from me early, not after the date has passed. Either way you're not chasing me for a status update.

Yes. The site is yours, the Squarespace account is in your name, and the domain stays registered to you. Nothing is held hostage if you decide to work with someone else later, and you won't need my permission to make changes. You pay Squarespace directly for hosting, which runs on their standard plans.
